A Week In Punk: This Week’s Biggest Stories Recapped (11/17/13)

As shameful as it is, some of you readers don’t actually check Dying Scene every hour of every day.  For you slackers we’ve put together a list of last week’s biggest stories to help you stay in the loop and maintain your punk cred. You’re welcome.

1. We unearthed an old Fox News report on punk and it’s really hilarious.

2. Less Than Jake have begun releasing pieces of their documentary on the making of See The Light.

3. Okay, there is a band called World’s Scariest Police Chases and they just put out an album called NOFX And Out Come The Wolves Dookie. At least that’s what I think happened, because words are confusing.

4. Religious protesters be warned, Frank Turner will make everyone laugh at you.

5. Blink 182 cranked out the old bangers, playing “Dysentary Gary” at a recent soundcheck. There’s also a video of their full set at Blizzcon.

6. Sam King from Get Dead talked to us about a bunch of stuff.

7. Punk Rock Holiday 2014 in Slovenia announced their lineup and it looks like a lot of fun.

8. Rebel Spies have a new song. Apparently they are a “punk supergroup.”

9. The tour dates for Flogging Molly’s infamous Green 17 tour were announced. Those guys are so much fun live.

10. There is a (technically) new song from Against Me! called “FUCKMYLIFE666.” Swoon.

Those were just some of the most read stories from last week, but there were plenty more little gems covered.  Let us know what what you loved, what you hated and what your personal favorite story was in the comments. If you just can’t get enough of us, follow Dying Scene on Twitter, kick it with us on Facebook and join the Dying Scene mailing list.
