A Week In Punk: This Week’s Biggest Stories Recapped (11/24/13)

As shameful as it is, some of you readers don’t actually check Dying Scene every hour of every day.  For you slackers we’ve put together a list of last week’s biggest stories to help you stay in the loop and maintain your punk cred. You’re welcome.

1. Because we know you love lists of trivia – here’s how ten of your favorite bands got their names.

2. San Francisco music makers, Get Dead totaled their van while on tour. And here’s a statement from the band on the ensuing wreckage.

3. Nick Babeu of Trigger Effect passed away suddenly.

4. NOFX have a new fan-made video out for “Stoke Extinguisher.”

5. We got Masked Intruder to talk to us about what kind of shit to steal!

6. Blink 182 played “Dammit” with Machine Gun Kelly. Man, I love that song.

7. A Day To Remember streamed their new song and I’m blindly guessing that it’s terrible.

8. Meggan Lambesis, wife of roided-out attempted murderer Tim Lambesis, is seeking a $2 million court settlement because he is fucking crazy.

9. Bill Stevenson is producing Blink 182’s new album. Possibly. We’re not sure yet.

10. The Lawrence Arms streamed a song from their upcoming album that I (and the rest of the world) am really stoked for.

Those were just some of the most read stories from last week, but there were plenty more little gems covered.  Let us know what what you loved, what you hated and what your personal favorite story was in the comments. If you just can’t get enough of us, follow Dying Scene on Twitter, kick it with us on Facebook and join the Dying Scene mailing list.
