A Week In Punk: This Week’s Biggest Stories Recapped (12/29/13)

As shameful as it is, some of you readers don’t actually check Dying Scene every hour of every day.  For you slackers we’ve put together a list of last week’s biggest stories to help you stay in the loop and maintain your punk cred. You’re welcome

1. The weirdos over at Fat Wreck Wiki have put out a tribute to NOFX called Never Trust A Wiki.

2. Propaghandi announced a tour with The Flatliners and War on Women.

3. Travis Barker will publish a memoir. I’m assuming it’ll be ghostwritten by someone who is not Travis Barker.

4. Here’s a video of Masked Intruder playing “Stick Em Up” live at HOB Hollywood.

5. Trusty Dying Scene field reporter, Jay Stone did a killer write up on The Street Dogs Wreck The Halls show in Boston.

6. THE REST OF PUSSY RIOT IS FREE! Thanks for the publicity stunt, Putin.

7. The Lawrence Arms will tour with Nothington and The Copyrights in support of their first album in ten thousand years.

8. Watch The Implants’ full set at Audiotree Live Studios.

9. Jim Lindberg of Pennywise talked about the band’s cover of “Devonshire and Crown” for the tribute to Tony Sly.

10. Drew Justice of On My Honor came out in a very long and heartfelt blog post.

BONUS ROUND! A few of our super rad editors shared their top ten albums of 2013.  Read lists from Connor, Steve, Hayley, Ben, Carson and Dylan. I didn’t make a list because I hate everything and spent most of the year listening to Andrew Jackson Jihad and The National.

Those were just some of the most read stories from last week, but there were plenty more little gems covered.  Let us know what what you loved, what you hated and what your personal favorite story was in the comments. If you just can’t get enough of us, follow Dying Scene on Twitter, kick it with us on Facebook and join the Dying Scene mailing list.
