A Week In Punk: This Week’s Biggest Stories Recapped (6/30/13)

As shameful as it is some of you readers don’t actually check Dying Scene every hour of every day.  For you slackers we’ve put together a list of last week’s biggest stories to help you stay in the loop and maintain your punk cred.  You’re welcome.

1. Since you probably weren’t in Germany this year, here is a video of NOFX’s set at the Southside Festival.

2. In case you didn’t already know, Monique Powell of Save Ferris is a total egomaniac and is touring solo under the Save Ferris name, only problem is, the members of the band she left behind are suing her.

3. Mike McDermott, drummer for the Bouncing Souls has decided to move on to other projects after 13 years of loyal duty. Heeeee wants to start agaaaiiinnn.

4. TRANSGENDER DYSPHORIA BLUES IS FINALLY DONE TRACKING! AGAINST ME! IS COMING OUT WITH A NEW ALBUM! WHY ISN’T EVERYONE YELLING?!

5. Here’s a review of Transplants’ In A Warzone.

6. Tim Timebomb covered Bad Religion’s “Los Angeles Is Burning,” because he is never going to stop with these daily songs.

7. You missed Hellfest, didn’t you? Don’t cry! Here are videos of some gnarly sets.

8. New Found Glory have officially left Epitaph Records.

9.  Europe, get your ball gags and big leather whips ready, because NOFX is going to be inside you pretty soon.

10. Luke Rouda walks you through the punk rock carnival of horrors that is Punk Rock Bowling.
