A Week In Punk: This Week’s Biggest Stories Recapped (9/15/13)

As shameful as it is some of you readers don’t actually check Dying Scene every hour of every day.  For you slackers we’ve put together a list of last week’s biggest stories to help you stay in the loop and maintain your punk cred.  You’re welcome.

1. Behold! The track listing for the much-hyped Tony Sly tribute from Fat Wreck Chords.

2. NOFX are going on a really cool tour with Dillinger Four, Masked Intruder and Implants. Is it just me, or are we ALWAYS talking about NOFX?

3. Here are some fun facts about Pennywise’s Jim Lindberg. You’ll thank us after your next trivia night.

4. Stop complaining about how much Warped Tour sucks and fill out this survey about the bands you really want to see in billion-degree weather.

5. Tyler Oleson from Modern Life Is War is a lunatic and got tasered by cops. Calm down, man.

6. A Day To Remember are the latest band to speak out against Victory Records. I think this just proves we should bring back Drive-Thru records. Anyone?

7.  There’s a teaser trailer for an upcoming documentary about Fat Wreck Chords.

8. New Found Glory streamed a new single, “Connect The Dots,” and you should stop pretending you don’t still love them.

9. Here’s another new AFI song. I don’t think anyone is pretending to like them at all.

10. Sundowner won this week’s Cover Art Battle. Congratulations?

Those were just some of the most read stories from last week, but there were plenty more little gems covered.  Let us know what what you loved, what you hated and what your personal favorite story was in the comments. If you just can’t get enough of us, follow Dying Scene on Twitter, kick it with us on Facebook and join the Dying Scene mailing list
