Abolitionist (punk rock) launch Indiegogo campaign funding new album “The Growing Disconnect”

Oregon punkers Abolitionist have launched an Indiegogo (basically Kickstarter) campaign to fund the recording and release of their upcoming album, “The Growing Disconnect.” If you are feeling generous, click here to donate a few dollars and see what you can get in return. Here’s a statement from the band:

We’re hoping to raise enough money to fund our three day recording & mixing session @ Buzz or Howl Studios (all analog) in Portland this February, in addition to getting the 9 song album professionally mastered and then released as a CD w/ 12 page full-color booklet (art & layout by Keith Rosson).

In our 3 years as a band, we’ve self-released a 2-song 7″, a split 7″ w/ FOOLS RUSH and a full-length LP/CD, played tons of shows and toured a little bit, but at this point in our lives (due to a variety of other responsibilities) it’s become too expensive to release an album completely on our own; any assistance we can get from our friends & fans in reaching our goal will be incredibly helpful & greatly appreciated.

If you can’t help, we understand. There are a lot of more important things you could spend your money on. However, even if you could just spread the word about this campaign we’d be grateful.

Thanks!

The band last released an EP entitled “Bleeding Kansas” in August of 2012. You can download it for free here. We’ll keep you posted as more details on “The Growing Disconnect” surface.
