Among Legends (pop-punk) streams new single “We Were Vaguely Saints”

Waterloo pop-punk band Among Legends released a new single today. “We Were Vaguely Saints” is the lead single on Hello Sailor Records’ upcoming compilation album Coveted, due out September 16 and you can check it out right here.

“We thought it would be fun to ask bands and solo musicians to cover songs that they had never heard,” said KM North, founder of Hello Sailor Records, whose upcoming compilation will feature songs from bands across North America. “We sent them the lyrics and gave them carte blanche to do whatever they chose.”

Among Legends took the challenge, creating and recording “We Were Vaguely Saints” in less than two weeks.

“It was tough but really exciting to create something cohesive so quickly,” said Mitchell Buchanan, drummer and lead singer of Among Legends. “The song turned out better than we could have hoped. It’s energetic, melodic, emotional and catchy. I think it’s going to resonate beyond the confines of just pop-punk.”

The compilation will then be available for free through Hello Sailor’s Bandcamp page, and Among Legends’ single will be available across all major streaming platforms and on their website amonglegends.com.
