At the Drive-In announce plans to release new music and tour

Last night, we reported that At the Drive-In were likely going to announce something today. Well, the iconic post-hardcore act posted a picture on their official website (which has since been taken down) confirming that they are planning to embark on a world tour and release new music for the first time in over 15 years. The picture also confirms that the lineup of their 2012 reunion — Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Cedric Bixler-Zavala, Jim Ward, Tony Hajjar and Paul Hinojos — will be involved.

In addition to new material, a snippet of what appears to be a brand new At the Drive-In song can be streamed here. The band, who called it quits back in 2001 before reuniting 11 years later, has not released an album with new material since 2000’s Relationship of Command.
