Atom Willard on the future of Rocket From the Crypt and possibility of new music

In a recent interview, drummer  Atom Willard stated that Rocket From the Crypt may not record a new album, partly due to his commitments with Against Me!, who are currently on tour supporting their latest album Transgender Dysphoria Blues. Atom explains:

“I’m not sure if they are going to do a new record or not – they haven’t asked me to be involved with anything and I haven’t played all of the reunion shows they’ve done. They’ve been using Mario [Rubalcaba] who came in after I left – I left in 2000. I only played a few shows with them because I had time, but in the grand scheme of things, that’s not my band anymore.”

Rocket From the Crypt released last their last studio album Live from Camp X-Ray in 2002 on Vagrant Records. The band split up three years later, but reunited in 2012.
