Old school hardcore punk rockers/crossover thrashers Beowülf have announced that they will be releasing their anticipated new album Jesus Freak on December 23rd as a physical release. It was previously available as an iTunes release. The record follows 2007′s Westminster & 5th, and it was produced by founding member, vocalist/guitarist Dale Henderson, and their current bassist Christian Olde Wolbers. The tracks were cut at LiL’ Antwerp Studioz and Christian is credited as the engineer.

The album cover, pictured on the left, was done by Sven D-Fens.

Christian Olde Wolbers, the former bassist of Fear Factory, joined Beowülf last September as the replacement for Louiche Mayorga (ex-Suicidal Tendencies). There’s no word yet if Wolbers will be a permanent replacement, but he will at least either tour or perform selected live shows with the band.
