Body Count to release first album in 8 years next month

Body Count ― the seminal heavy metal/punk rock band fronted by iconic rapper Ice-T ― have announced that they will release their new album Manslaughter on June 10th via Sumerian Records. About the album, Ice-T said:

“People have been asking me to do some music, and I haven’t really been inspired to do hip hop for a while, ’cause hip hop kind of got really pop to me. But my band always wants to play, so we decided to do an album. We got signed to Sumerian Records and it’s brutal. It’s brutal.”

Body Count’s last album, Murder 4 Hire, was released in 2006.

The name and the cover art makes these guys look super douchey but the bands actually pretty good.
