Braid to begin recording new album

Beloved 90’s post-hardcore / emo band Braid will be entering the studio tomorrow to begin recording their Topshelf Records debut. A tweet from vocalist Bob Nanna confirmed that the band will begin work, but reveals little other information.

“On Friday, we begin tracking the new @braidcentral record. I want to tell you all about it.”

With any luck, the band will be releasing their new album sometime in 2014.  It will be the band’s first full length album since releasing Lucky to be Alive in 2000, although they released a four song EP entitled Closer to Closed in 2011 and a split EP with Balance and Composure earlier this year, both through Polyvinyl.
