Coldfront (pop punk) sign to Equal Vision Records, stream new track – “Molly Blooms”

Ontario pop-punk group Coldfront are the newest band to join Equal Vision Records, and are apparently the first Canadian band on the roster since Alexisonfire “way back when.”

Along with the band’s announcement of the signing, they’re also now streaming a new song, “Molly Blooms,” which you can listen to right over here at Alternative Press.

Speaking about the song, vocalist Thomas Stewart says, “‘Molly Blooms’ is about climbing out of a rut. It’s a love song about turning it all around and finding what truly makes you happy. When we went into the studio we had done a bunch of pre-production work prior to arriving, but “Molly Blooms” wasn’t a part of any of that. We actually dropped a couple other songs we had been working on so we could record this song instead, despite having only written it about a week before we started tracking.”

Coldfront last released their EP, Some Things Never Change, in 2014. Their new EP, and Equal Vision Records debut, is due out sometime this summer.
