D.R.I. guitarist hospitalized from complications of colectomy

D.R.I. guitarist and co-founder Spike Cassidy was recently admitted to an undisclosed hospital due to complications from a colectomy surgery. Earlier this month, Spike received a colectomy and had his entire colon removed, which led to post-surgery infection. Doctors diagnosed and treated the issue, so he should be released from the hospital soon.

Reports have stated that Spike’s rehabilitation will likely have some effect on the band’s upcoming tour schedule.

We hope you get well soon, Spike!

D.R.I.’s latest full-length studio album, Full Speed Ahead, came out back in 1995.
