Boston celtic-punks Dropkick Murphys recently dropped by the Today Show to play their new song “Rose Tattoo” from their latest album Signed and Sealed in Blood.
The band also spoke briefly with Today Show hosts Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie about their humble beginnings and having Bruce Springsteen as a fan.
You can check out the video here.
Signed and Sealed in Blood debuted at #9 on the Billboard Charts when it was released in the beginning of January on Born and Bred Records. The band is currently preparing to embark on their St. Patrick’s Day tour, and you can find dates for that tour here.

Almost exactly 15 years ago today I saw them play with Mike M. at a shitty church in my hometown to less then 100 people. It’s certainly weird.

As a huge Dropkick Murphys fan, I have to say this is sad mainly because they were on the today show. I dislike the today show so much, I won’t even watch their performance. That aside, they do stay true to their working-class message. They put on great shows and their clothing is union-made and made in the U.S.A., and their shows are still affordable.
