In spite of his busy schedule cramming for his upcoming debut tour as a member of Street Dogs, Boston punk scene veteran Lenny Lashley recently found time to play a record release show in support of his stellar solo debut, Illuminator (see our review here). The night featured a few false starts (to be expected given that it was this incarnation of Lashley’s Gang Of One project actually performing together) and Lashley himself complained about his voice being shot, though that didn’t seem to bother the hot, sweaty, capacity crowd upstairs at the legendary Central Square club The Middle East.
Also on the bill were Boston punks Scrapes, Mung (yes…holy crap…MUNG!) and the evening’s headliners, Have Nots. Apologies to the latter band as we turned into pumpkins prior to their set, though you can check out Fat City Magazine’s shots here. Anyway, click here to check out out photos. While you’re at it, here’s our recent sit-down with Lashley.
