How the scoring works:

When Dying Scene readers were asked to submit a list of their 5 favorite albums from 2011 we cataloged every single entry and assigned points to each album listed based on their placement in each reader’s list.  Albums listed in the number 1 (“best album”) slot were given 5 points, 2nd best: 4 points, 3rd best: 3 points, 4th best: 2 points, and 5th best: 1 point.  In the end we summed up all the points for each entry and then sorted the list by the albums with the most points.  Voila!

Good to see some of the old guys like f2f and Social D make the list.

Frank Turner’s album was truly one of the best. Probably going to make the short list for the decade.

Kind of disappointed at the Joyce Manor, La Dispute, and Fucked Up exclusions. There were so many good releases this year too. But I guess that’s life, I won’t bitch too much, the internet has enough of that already.
