Oakland-based pop punk band Emily’s Army has announced that they will be parting ways with guitarist Travis Neumann. The split appears to be amicable, and Neumann’s playing will still be heard on the band’s upcoming EP, Swim. You can read the message from the band:
“Today we would like to announce that we have decided to part ways with Travis. Although we are going in different directions, we still care about each other and are good friends. You can still see Travis in an upcoming music video and hear his contributions on “Swim.” We are excited for you to hear our new EP.”
Emily’s Army will release the Swim EP on July 22, 2014 through Rise Records. It will follow the band’s sophomore album, Lost At Seventeen, released in 2013 also on Rise.
