In a recent interview, NOFX drummer Erik Sandin (aka Smelly) revealed that the band just finished recording and mixing their long-awaited new album, which will be their first since 2012’s Self Entitled. He states:
“It’s funny; right as you called I was about to put in our new [album], which got mixed yesterday and give it a listen to. It’s mixed, it’s done, in the can, it’s getting ready to get shipped off to whoever it gets shipped off to. It sounds awesome. We used a different producer this time; we were using Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore for a long time, but we used Cameron Webb and he did a fucking phenomenal job.”
It is currently not known when the new album will be released, but we’ll keep you posted as more details on it come to light. NOFX recently played one song from the new record, reportedly titled “I’m Sorry, Tony“, which is a tribute to their late friend Tony Sly from No Use for a Name.
