Fan dies after stage dive at a Suicidal Tendencies concert

A 28-year-old heavy metal fan died from an apparent epileptic seizure after being seriously injured while stage diving at a Suicidal Tendencies concert in Switzerland at the Bern University Hospital last Friday (January 24th).

Reports say that the fan, whose real name is unknown, jumped from the stage during the band’s set at the Persistence Tour gig at Solothurn’s Kulturfabrik Kofmehl venue last Wednesday (January 22nd), but seemed to be fine after hitting the ground. Pipo Kofmehl, who runs the venue, said, “Unfortunately, crowd members failed to properly catch him and he fell to the ground.”

The stage dive was apparently a seemingly harmless incident, as the 28-year-old was seen walking around shortly after the fall, and he reportedly washed his hands and wanted to go home. Kofmehl, who has been in contact with the family of the deceased concert attendant, commented, “This is a huge concern for us. The whole thing is very, very tragic.”

The police have been investigating the incident and are thus far treating it as an accident. For more information, see

Our deepest condolences to the fan’s friends and family.
