Flag play secret show at Moose Lodge in Redondo Beach, California (live videos of “Revenge” and “Fix Me”)

Flag (one of two currently active reincarnations of Black Flag, featuring Keith Morris, Chuck Dukowski, Dez Cadena, Bill Stevenson, and Stephen Egerton) played a secret show to an audience of 200 people last night at the Moose Lodge in Redondo Beach, California, where the original BF lineup played their first show in 1979. Click here to watch a video of the band playing “Revenge” and “Fix Me” at the show. Here’s an excerpt from Rolling Stone’s recap of the show:

“The audience sang along for the first three songs, but it wasn’t until Stevenson played the intro to “I Don’t Care” that the swaying movement of the crowd got hectic. This tame beginning might have been attributed to the fact that the crowd comprised friends and family of the band. Once the novelty of seeing Flag at a Moose Lodge in a suburban beach community wore off, people began to push, crowd-surf and run in circles for tunes such as “Depression,” “I’ve Had It” and “No Values.””

Flag will be playing a handful of festivals, including Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas, Groezrock in Belgium, and more. Click here for a full list of dates and locations they will be playing. Greg Ginn’s version of Black Flag, featuring Ron Reyes on vocals and ex-Screeching Weasel bassist Dave Klein will be playing a world tour throughout the summer. You can check out a full list of dates for that here.
