Pennywise guitarist Fletcher Dragge recently spoke to PhillyBurbs.com about the departure and reunion of their original singer Jim Lindberg, who rejoined the band last October and is working on new material with them for the first time in five years. Fletcher states:
“It was an amicable parting with Jim. It was just one of those things. Sometimes, you get on each other’s nerves and you need a break from each other. Jim needed that break and fortunately he came back. Zoli did a great job, but when Jim came back and started singing, it was, like, ‘Well, now that’s what we’ve been missing.’ We’re past all of the stupid issues and it’s awesome that Jim is back.”
Pennywise’s latest album, All or Nothing, was released in May of last year on Epitaph Records and is, so far, their only recording with Zoli Teglas from Ignite. After the release of that album, Jim Lindberg (who left the band back in 2009) finally rejoined Pennywise after Zoli’s departure.
