Front Porch Step suspends touring after allegations of sexual harassment

By now, you’ve probably heard about the allegations of sexual harassment of minors that have been brought against Front Porch Step solo artist, Jake Mcelfresh and the resulting Change.org petition created to remove him from playing Warped Tour 2015.

As the investigation continues, Front Porch Step has announced that he has suspended all touring plans “for the time being.” FPS released the following statement:

“As I posted 3 days ago, I am taking the appropriate time to assess these very serious allegations against me and I am not taking them lightly. Until I can do that in a complete manner with all the information I have at my disposal, I will not be continuing with any current touring activities for the time being.”

This announcement comes after Allison Weiss dropped off of his upcoming UK tour. Additionally, Have Mercy, who were set to tour with him as well, stated that they were planning on removing themselves from the bill. Have Mercy released the following statement:

“We, Have Mercy, in no way condone the alleged actions that have come to light over the past week, and hope that message above all is clear to our fans. Safety in music, and life, should never be risked for selfish decisions. We were incredibly excited at the opportunity to hit the road this spring, and that is still our top priority.”

At this point, Kevin Lyman has not made an official statement about Warped Tour 2015, but is looking into the matter.
