Jeff Rosenstock details new solo album “We Cool?”

Bomb The Music Industry! frontman Jeff Rosenstock, has finally unleashed details surrounding his highly anticipated new solo album, “We Cool?”. The LP comes out on Side One Dummy Records March 3, right before Jeff hits the road with Andrew Jackson Jihad, The Smith Street Band and Chumped for a full U.S. tour kicking off March 18 in Baltimore, MD.

We Cool? was mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley (Tony Molina, Joyce Manor, Deafheaven), a welcome change from Jeff’s standard method of making a record.

“The difference between recording in an apartment with a small amount of cheap gear that is constantly breaking vs. an actual studio with cool things to use and a really talented person running everything is immeasurable,” Jeff explains.

But while that certainly shows a positive sonic progression from Rosenstock’s previous material, he’s still plagued by the many uncertainties of his life.

“Stupid guilt from fucking things up tends to weigh pretty heavily on me. Spending time at home, though, has finally helped me to realize that so much of that is all in my head. That’s why the record is called We Cool? – it’s like checking in with someone when you’re not sure why you ever stopped talking in the first place. We good? We cool? Everything OK? Cause I sure hope we all are.”
