Earlier this afternoon, Jimmy Eat World posted an update on Twitter announcing that they have finished recording their new album and are going to begin mixing it. They wrote:

“Our newest album is officially recorded. We had a fantastic time with Alain Johannes! No we wait to mix. Can’t wait to show you guys!”

The band’s latest studio album Invented was released in September 2010 on Interscope Records. There’s currently no sign of a release date or title for their upcoming album, but an early 2013 release is likely.
