Something great happened last weekend in Lavaltrie, QC. I mean, really fucking great. Right after finishing his set with Lagwagon at the Pouzza Pelouzza Festival, Joey Cape did an intimate acoustic show around midnight where there were only 100 tickets available. No need to say that it sold out pretty quickly. He performed for more than 90 minutes, played all his best songs, took requests by the end and even shared the mic with fans.
I was lucky enough to be there and captured, in my opinion, the highlight of the night when Joey played Tony Sly’s (No Use For A Name) “International You Day” and was joined on stage by fans to sing the last verses.
Yeah, it got pretty emotional.
Check out my “fan made video” below. The video quality isn’t the best but it is truly worth watching.
