Rolling Stone has premiered a live video for a stripped-down version of one of The Offspring‘s famous songs “Gone Away”, which was performed live at the Hollywood Palladium last October. Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara, who opened for The Offspring last fall, joined the band for this special duet version. You can check it out here.
The studio version of “Gone Away” is taken from The Offspring’s 1997 major label debut Ixnay on the Hombre, which was the follow-up to the band’s iconic 1994 album Smash.
The Offspring released their latest album Days Go By on Columbia Records in June of this year, and they appear to have another album in the works. The band recently announced that they are free agents, thus ending their long-term contract Columbia.
