Madball writing new album

Songfacts recently conducted an interview with Madball guitarist Mitts, who confirmed that the band is now writing new material for their next album, which will be their first since 2010’s Empire. Here’s an excerpt from the interview:

“We’re writing for a new record right now. We’ve got three or four songs. As a hardcore band, our songs are fairly short compared to metal — they’re not, like, seven-, eight-minute songs. Our songs are generally between two and three minutes, so we usually go for in the 12-to-15-song range for a record. We like to have at least 30 minutes.”

Madball last released the Rebellion EP in 2012 through Black N’ Blue Records. The band recently announced a five-date West Coast tour with Twitching Tongues and Born Low, which takes place next month.
