Mike Park, founder of Asian Man Records and former member of Skankin’ Pickle, has announced a new band called Maguma Taishi, a band that plays “lo-fi punk rock influenced by the Japanese hardcore scene.” The band also features Patrick Costello from Dillinger Four and Matthew Kazama and Hideo Takahashi from Birthday Suits. While the band will be releasing a 7″ this summer, that may be it, as Park adds that “we will probably never play a show.”
