Motörhead founder Lemmy recently told Billboard.com that the band the iconic heavy metal band will be back in the studio in January to begin recording their new album with Cameron Webb, who produced, engineered and mixed their last four albums. Lemmy states:
“We’re gonna start in the new year, go into the studio in January. We’ll go into the rehearsal room about a month before the album and just band stuff out.”
The new Motörhead record is expected to be released in mid-2013. Their most recent studio album, The Wörld Is Yours, was released in Europe in December 2010 and in the United States a month later. The band has also considered the idea of recording a covers album.
