It looks like Motörhead now have two new releases in the works. Not only have they been planning to release a new full-length next year, but they have discussed the possibility of making an album with song covers. Founder Lemmy tells Classic Rock Revisited:
“We did discuss it, but we haven’t come to a concrete decision on it. It would be fun to do. The three of us are very different when it comes to music, so it would be a very diverse album. We’d make them all into Motörhead songs, anyway. We’ve done covers before.”
Lemmy was also if the band had any new music ready, and responded, “Not yet. We will just go into the studio a month before we do the next album and just write.”
Motörhead’s most recent studio album, The Wörld Is Yours, was released in Europe in December 2010 and in the United States a month later. Next month, the band will embark on a UK tour with Anthrax.
