Nirvana to reunite for new music?

It’s been over exactly 20 years since Kurt Cobain’s death put Nirvana to an end. Following a one-off reunion at last week’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony (and one later on that night), its surviving members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic spoke to Rolling Stone about the future of the band, and the possibility of new material. On the possibility of a reunion, Novoselic stated:

“There’s Foo Fighters and Dave has some other projects going on. And I have some commitments. But you never say never now. We did it. I sure won’t say no. Maybe we can even do some new music one day.”

However, Grohl is uncertain about the idea, stating, “We haven’t even talked about it. We looked at that evening as a night that may never happen again. That’s what made it so powerful and beautiful and meaningful. And it may never happen again, so we made the most of it. And it was fucking great.”

Nirvana “reunited” in December 2012 and again last July, with former Beatles bassist Paul McCartney filling in for Kurt Cobain.

Them making music together again would be great but not under the name “Nirvana”. Hell they can even play Nirvana songs live and shit just don’t call the band Nirvana.
