Oblivians to release “Desperation” in June, stream new song

The reunited garage punk rockers Oblivians are set to release their new album Desperation on June 4th on In the Red Records. It will be the band’s first album since 1997’s …Play Nine Songs with Mr. Quintron. The artwork can be viewed on the left, while the track listing to Desperation can be found here. Founding member Greg Cartwright on the album:

“Over the years, as we would occasionally reunite for a festival or special occasion, the idea began to grow in the back of my mind: the idea of making a new record. Because as much as we enjoyed playing together, the thing I missed the most was creating together. So that’s what we did.”

The Oblivians are also streaming their new song called “I’ll Be Gone” on Rolling Stone.
