Original Nirvana drummer Chad Channing on possible band reunion

In a recent interview, original Nirvana drummer Chad Channing said that he is willing to reunite with the band’s other surviving members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic. When asked if he was open to a reunion, Channing replied:

“Yeah, if they wanted me to. It’d maybe be something like Dave playing guitar and singing and Krist doing bass. That’d be about the only arrangement I could think of that we cold [sic] pull off.”

Channing was a member of Nirvana from 1988 to 1990, appearing on the band’s 1989 debut album Bleach. He also played on the version of “Polly” that’s taken from the band’s 1991 iconic album Nevermind. Channing was replaced by Dave Grohl, who would remain in Nirvana until their split in 1994.

Nirvana “reunited” in December 2012 and again last year, with former Beatles bassist Paul McCartney filling in for the late Kurt Cobain.
