Paper + Plastick launches “Story/Song”; first issue featuring Flatfoot 56

Paper + Plastick Records has launched a new project as a way to both push a new comic series and to celebrate the music of their artists. Called “Story/Song”, the project aims to combine a song by a band on the label’s roster with a short graphic novel that was inspired by the song’s lyrics. P+P owner Vinnie Fiorello said of the project: “We wanted to explore a new way to add visuals to songs. The visuals aren’t limited to literal interpretations of the song’s lyrics, but are more inspired by the feeling and attitude of the track.”

The first issue of “Story/Song” features Flatfoot 56, and is based on their song “6’10” from their 2012 album Toil. More information (including order info) can be found at the Paper + Plastick webstore.
