Poll: Should Face To Face do an acoustic “Ignorance Is Bliss” tour?

Earlier this week, Face To Face frontman Trever Keith took to the interwebs to float the idea of an acoustic tour for the band’s underrated 1999 Beyond Records/Lady Luck release “Ignorance Is Bliss.”

The tour would feature just Keith and bass player extraordinaire Scott Shiflett, and they’d perform “IIB” acoustically and in its entirety in “intimate venues.”

For those that are too young to remember, “Ignorance Is Bliss” marked a radical departure in sound for Face To Face with it’s more textured, more mature sound (and strings!). The album alienated many fans at the time, and the band vowed to never play any of the songs from that album once their 1999 tour finished. In the years since, however, “IIB” has become beloved by a sizeable segment of their fanbase, with many (including this writer) thinking it’s their best work.

Reaction to Keith’s post on the band’s Facebook page has been overwhelmingly positive, but we want to know what you think. Take our poll here and leave your thoughts.[poll id=”63″]
