Roseland Ballroom reportedly closing its doors in April

According to Billboard.com, New York City’s Roseland Ballroom will be closing its doors in April of 2014. Although no further more information has been given, Ken Fermaglich at the Agency Group has commented:

“The closing of Roseland will be a huge loss for concerts in New York City. I love the venue and always have. I saw Nirvana there and will never forget that show.”

Notable artists that have performed live at the Roseland Ballroom include AC/DC, Madonna, Paul McCartney, Thom Yorke, Portishead, Dream Theater, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Ramones, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Fugazi, Above & Beyond, Alanis Morissette, Weezer, The Dead, Them Crooked Vultures, Phish, Bad Religion, The Offspring, Sepultura, Pantera, The Smashing Pumpkins, Blur, Pavement and many others.
