Cyber Tracks (a label owned by NOFX guitarist El Hefe and his wife Jen Abeyta) announced earlier today that Unwritten Law frontman Scott Russo underwent surgery for undisclosed reasons. The label writes:
“Today our Cyber Tracks family is asking for your prayers, love, and support as Scott Russo (Unwritten Law) is undergoing surgery this afternoon. While we are not authorized to go into detail at this time, we are asking the Unwritten Law community to band together in support of Scott. We will keep you updated as the day goes on. Scott and the band thank you in advance for the well wishes, and send their love in return.”
Dying Scene wishes Scott a speedy recovery, and all the best to his family, friends, and Unwritten Law.
Unwritten Law will release an acoustic album, simply titled Acoustic, on April 1st through Cyber Tracks. An album with all-new material — the follow-up to 2011’s Swan — is also in the works; no title or release date has been set, but we’ll keep you posted as more details on it come to light.
