Slayer to embark on final tour

Metal icons Slayer have announced that, after 37 years together, they are “making their exit” with a “final world tour.”

The band made an announcement this morning, saying: “Slayer to tour the world one more time…,” and they confirmed on their official website that they will embark on what will be their final U.S. tour this summer, with support from Lamb of God, Anthrax, Behemoth and Testament. We’ll keep you posted as official tour dates come to light.

A 30-second video clip of Slayer confirming that they will embark on their final tour together can be viewed below.

Slayer’s most recent studio album, Repentless, was released in September 2015 on Nuclear Blast. It was their first album since 2009’s World Painted Blood, and their first one with Exodus guitarist Gary Holt as the replacement of the Jeff Hanneman, who died in 2013.
