Sparrows (post-hardcore) announce EP release date, stream new track “References To The Dead”

Toronto based post-hardcore outfit Sparrows have announced that their upcoming EP Dragging Hell will be released on August 28th. Vocalist and guitarist Dan Thompson had the following to say about this upcoming record:

“Dragging Hell has been a long time coming for us, and it’s almost a relief to have these songs coming out, in the best way possible. The time that surrounded the writing of these songs was one of the darkest times in my life, and it definitely comes out in the songs, both lyrically and musically.”

They have also partnered with New Noise Magazine to stream the first new track called “References To The Dead”. On top of that, the band will be embarking on a North American tour in support of this release. You can take a listen to the new song and check out the tour dates below.

Dragging Hell will be released officially on August 28th through New Damage Records. It will serve as a follow-up to the band’s 2013 release Cold Ground.
