The Frights (surf punk) release new tracks

San Diego surf punk band The Frights has just released a set of new tracks available for streaming and purchase. You can listen to the tracks, entitled “Tongues” and “Puppy Knuckles”, below.

The Frights are a unique three-piece that mix a rough, surf sound with a 1950’s flair. In their words, they are a band suited for a “1950’s underwater Halloween party”. The group made their debut on the San Diego scene under the name Black Hootie in late 2012 when they played their first show as an opener for Voodoo Glow Skulls and have since played with a number of notable bands, including Bad Religion.

This two-song release is a follow-up to a number of releases in 2013, the latest of which was their self-titled album released in October 2013.
