According to a recent post on their Facebook page, Scotland pop-punks The Murderburgers have parted ways with longtime drummer Stuart Morrison. Here’s what they had to say about Morrison’s departure and their plans for the future:
“After 5 years of hitting stuff in order to make noise, Stuart is sadly hanging up his burger boots and leaving the band. We thank him for his years of service and sincerely wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.
All future tour dates are still going ahead and stand in dummers will do for the time being, but we are looking for someone to fill Stuart’s shoes on a permanent basis. All we ask is that you are an awesome drummer and dedicated band member that’s fun to hang out with and willing to be on the road a lot. If you fit the bill or know someone that does then either hit us up on here or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have a lot of great stuff coming up and seem to keep on getting to do cool shit that we never thought we’d be able to, so if you want to part of it all then get in touch. Nae timewasters though. Feel free to spread the word. Thanks!”
We’ll keep you posted as more details on the situation come to light. The Murderburgers’ latest album These Are Only Problems was released last October through Asian Man Records, who will release the band’s 2012 full-length How To Ruin Your Life this fall.
