Almost a month ago, we reported that The Offspring were back in the studio working on something, either a new album or something else.
Well, earlier today, guitarist Noodles posted a picture of frontman Dexter Holland in a studio in British Columbia with Bob Rock, indicating that may be producing the band’s next record. Rock was the producer for The Offspring’s last two studio albums, Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace and Days Go By. No further more information has been given so far, but we’ll keep you posted as usual.
The Offspring last released Days Go By in June 2012, and recently announced that they are unsigned.
Add The Offspring to My Radar

If you could just go ahead and do the opposite of what you did with Metallica that would great mmkay thanks.
What a shame, another boring and lifeless album.
dear god why, that hack has already ruined two of their albums in a row. not that the band doesn’t deserve a huge amount of blame too, though.
Does nobody else think the last couple albums had at least 3 or 4 good songs on them? Does anybody listen to the whole album anymore or are we just judging based on the poorly chosen singles?
It is so sad that Offspring actually had the tards convinced that their music was actually punk!! OHHHHHH!!! SO WEAK!! You are NOT PUNK!!
Well the hopes of a great The Offspring album has shattered!
I just wish they would put out a fucking punk album for once and stop making mtv music…..just one more time at least haha
I freakin’ love The Offspring…going on 15 years now. I know they’ve come a long way since Self-Titled and Ignition and over the years they have experimented quite a bit and I do admit there are a few certain songs I don’t care for. However, I always know that when they release a new album I can expect overall that same Offspringish sound. They may not be considered “punk” anymore but I firmly believe that over all they still have that punk rock attitude and sound in their music. I can go on and on for hours about how much I love these guys but then Dying Scene would probably block me.
I love offspring too im 33 and have listened to them from the beginning hell when i was a teen i used to skate over to dexters house in huntington to bug those guys with a million questions lol but all im saying is i want to hear some oldschool new shit not shit that gets played in hot topic and mtv. Just one more badass oldschool sounding punk album is what i want lol
For the past few years I have been thinking about if it would be a good thing if they re-recorded their older stuff. I’ve been at debate with myself over this though as part of me seems to think, “It would be cool but then again why not just appreciate the old stuff as it is?”
Strungout did it and it was awesome i think it would be rad if they re recorded the old songs cause as a true fan id still love the originals just the same and wouldnt appreciate it any less but some new (not radio/mtv sounding crap) old sounding offspring would be sweet. The way some bands (that were so fresh sounding and badass)completely change and go mainstream is so confusing and stupid to me.i just dont understand “why?” Who are they playing for? Cause its not me anymore. U know? :)
