The Turkletons release 32-track benefit compilation, “Dukey”

Minneapolis pop punk band The Turkletons recently helped release a 32-track benefit compilation entitled “Dukey”. The comp features material from Pity Party, The Dopamines, Mikey Erg, and many, many more, and will help some of the band’s friends whose lives were severely affected by a drunk driver. Here’s what the band had to say about the release:

As many of you know, our friends Brody Sotona and Connor ‘Dukes’ Macklin were in a terrible car accident in September when they were hit by a drunk driving nerd. We lost Brody that night, and Connor has a long road back to health. These two are everything that rules about underground music: incredibly welcoming, overwhelmingly energetic, and, above all else, genuine. Because the bills aren’t paying themselves, we tracked down a ton of bands who played at Brody and Connor’s house (The Shack), knew them, or just wanted to help. Almost everything we got is either really new, recorded specially for this, or unreleased. We put ’em all together and here it is. 100% of your hard-earned money is going straight to Brody and Connor’s families to help offset the crazy bills they incurred. Music is a huge part of their lives, and now we get to give back a bit, and that rules. So, thanks for listening, buy if you dig it, pay more if you want to, don’t drink and drive, and never look back.

You can purchase or stream the entire album here.
