As most of you have probably already read, SoCal progressive punks Thrice will soon be bidding the world farewell, and are heading out on tour for one last adventure (view tour dates here).

What most of you may not know, is that Thrice drummer Riley Breckenridge is a contributor to the Orange County blog OC Weekly. Every Tuesday, Riley ponders on Riley’s 3Three Things, where he discusses various topics like beer, cassette tapes, neighbors, the actual ingredients in Budweiser’s Chelada, and much, much more.

This week’s contribution featured a very reflective and nostalgic Breckenridge, who spoke much of his time with Thrice. Here’s a little of what Riley had to say about the upcoming break-up of Thrice,

I’m so grateful to have been able be a part of something creative, something that I truly loved, and something that afforded me the opportunity to do many amazing things, meet and work with and share the stage with so many outstanding people, and see so many places I never thought I’d get a chance to see. And that I got experience all of this through the writing, recording and playing of music? What?! And that people cared enough to support and facilitate that for over a decade? Mind-blowing. What a gift.
