Tim Timebomb and Friends release “Fort Worth Jail”

Tim Timebomb and Friends, the latest side project from Rancid’s Tim Armstrong, are streaming a cover of “Fort Worth Jail.” Check it out here.

Here’s what Tim had to say about the track:

“This song was written by Dick Reinhart, in my opinion one of the best Western/Texas Swing vocalists. A gifted songwriter and instrumentalist. He learned to sing from black bluesmen in Dallas’ Deep Ellum district. Moved to Oklahoma in the thirties and met singers Jimmy Wakely and Johnny Bond-forming the Bell Boys. They all moved to the West Coast and ended up working with Gene Autry.”

You know the drill: Tim Timebomb and Friends have been releasing a long series of singles on iTunes every week since the beginning of December 2012 through Hellcat Records.
