Travis Barker says Blink-182 has recorded five new songs with Matt Skiba

In a recent interviewBlink-182 drummer Travis Barker revealed that the band has recorded five songs with Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio, who replaced the band’s original singer and guitarist Tom DeLonge earlier this year. Travis states:

“Matt’s killing it. He’s fun to play with and write with. We’re just getting started but I think we’ve got like four or five songs right now that I’m really, really happy with. There’s a song called ‘Punk Rock Cliché’ which I love the most right now. It’s about friends of ours and their relationships.”

Blink-182 last self-released an EP entitled Dogs Eating Dogs in December of 2012 after parting ways with Interscope Records. Their last studio album, Neighborhoods, was released in 2011.
