Trophy Lungs, Defeater, Elway, The Holy Mess, and more contribute to “Solidarity Mixtape Volume 1” to support Black Lives Matter

Kevin Bogart, a member of Boston punk outfit Trophy Lungs, has organized a benefit compilation titled Solidarity Mixtape Volume 1 to bring awareness to and support for the Black Lives Matter movement. The mixtape features 42 bands from around the country, including Defeater, Elway, The Holy Mess, and more.

The album is listed on bandcamp as a “pay what you want” download, but all proceeds raised in the next 2 weeks will be donated to Black Lives Matter. According to the organizers, “the mission of Black Lives Matter is to affirm and embrace the resistance and resilience of Black people. Black Lives Matter is working for a world where Black lives are no longer systematically and intentionally targeted for demise.”

Check out the mixtape below and head over to bandcamp to contribute and download it.
