In a recent MySpace blog, Jono James, the boisterous new trombone player for The Resignators introduces himself to the world wide community. James has been around for several months, but decided that he and the band were in need of updating the world to the goings-on of The Resignators. Read what James had to say here.
The Resignators have plans to release a 3-track EP, Rage, in the next few weeks. Be sure to stay posted for updates as they become available.
If you live in Australia, be sure to check out the band’s Dying Scene Shows page for dates and locations.
Hey Boys and Girls
My name is Jono James and I am the new bone player in Melbourne’s ska/reggae/rock outfit “The Resignators” taking over from the amazingly talented Ellen Morabito!!
Settling into the semi new line up has been a breeze and it took no time at all for the band to start making some wicked sounds. I have been in the gig for a good four months now but if you haven’t seen me around yet give me a shout out and say hi so I can start to meet the fans, plenty of whom are crazy rockers, I love it.
This is blog numero uno however the boys and I will start throwing stuff down on paper in the lead up to our tours around Australia and overseas, so keep an eye out.
We have just laid down three new tunes; Rage, Booze and Tattoos, & See You In Hell, all of which look very very promising. Rage will be released on a 3 track EP available in the next few weeks!
I am currently in the process of writing some new tunes myself so be prepared.
For those of you who have seen the band recently you will notice I cannot dance and cannot sing but just try and stop me. I love having a crack at it and I look forward to jumping around with Dittman and our new wireless mics at the Cherry Bar this Sunday Night. So kids, tell your friends, The Resignators are here and they will be taking Australia’s live music scene by storm.
Jono James.
