Los Angeles based indie label Wiretap Records are streaming another one of their fantastic compilations over on Bandcamp. The label has released comps under the moniker, Attention, in the past and are now giving back with a charity edition. 100% of the proceeds (after Bandcamp shares) will be donated to the ACLU. It is an initiative that the label plans to execute over the next 4 years.
A statement directly from the folks at the label reads:
Thank you for considering a Pay What You Want donation of at least $1 or more for this “Attention” Compilation. We’ve been helping bands from across the country/globe get their music out to more people by curating these digital compilations for over 2 years now. We’re honored and humbled to feature tracks on this edition from not only the Wiretap roster, but also artists from Topshelf Records, Asian Man Records, Broken World Media, Xtra Mile Recordings, Take This To Heart Records, Jetsam-Flotsam Records, Deep Rest Records and more. 30 tracks from bands/artists from all across the WORLD because this community is not a regional thing, it’s a global thing. We stand with everyone who believes in equality for everyone regardless of religion, race, gender, nationality, age, sexual preference or toppings on your pizza. This compilation features bands from Canada, UK, Spain, Italy and from all across the US.
Over the next four (4) YEARS, we will continue to release an Attention compilation 4x per year and will be donating 100% of proceeds from all those compilations to come to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). It’s going to be a lengthy four years, and we’ll stand by everyone for those 4 years.
Thank you to the labels, bands for appearing on this compilation.
